The Tradition

Woodland Hills Ice is the most exciting winter tradition in the Los Angeles San Fernando Valley. Our skating experience creates memories that will last a lifetime for the community, neighbors and visitors of all ages. Endorsed by the Woodland Hills City Council and Woodland Hills Chamber Of Commerce, the outdoor ice skating rink is the region’s only attraction of its kind, featuring over 7000 square feet of real ice set amid a winter landscape beneath the California sun and stars. Woodland Hills Ice debuted in November 2009 with overwhelming community support, establishing the event as an annual winter experience not to be missed!

The Location

Woodland Hills Ice is centrally located in the west San Fernando Valley, situated at the corner of Topanga Canyon Boulevard and Erwin Streets at the Westfield Promenade Shopping Center. Over one million residents live and work in the immediate neighboring communities. A city transportation study estimates that 60,000 vehicles pass by this corner daily, while the Westfield Shopping Centers welcome over one million monthly guests during the busy holiday season. The outdoor facility—lined with twinkling trees and rustic winter imagery—is showered daily with the beaming California sun.  The fairytale setting is an ideal location to promote your business to the community and entire Los Angeles region.

The Timeline

Woodland Hills’ very own winter wonderland will kick off the 2010-2011 skating season on November 5, 2010.  Open 7 days a week, including all holidays, daily public skating sessions will be held for more than 12 weeks until February 6, 2011.

Over 100,000 guests visited Woodland Hills Ice during our debut season in 2009-2010, with millions of impressions reaching the community. The rink and facility have been featured on major television networks, including live news broadcast coverage from NBC, FOX, ABC, & The CW. Major print media and internet outlets have also highlighted Woodland Hills Ice with editorial coverage including features from the Los Angeles Daily News, US Weekly, Valley Scene Magazine, LA Parent Magazine, Valley Life Magazine, Warner Center News, LAist, Parents Connect LA, LA Bargain Hunter and many others. The facility has also been utilized as the backdrop for commercial filming by major international brands, broadcasting worldwide.
